PRATTVILLE Troy E. Allen, Jr., age 67, of Prattville, died Dec. 20,
2009. Services were 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2009, at Rideout's
Prattville Chapel with Judge Glenn Goggins officiating and Rideout's
Prattville Chapel directing.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy Allen of Prattville; daughter, Calee
Allen of South Lake Tahoe, Calif.; and brother, Frank Allen of
Tuscaloosa.
Mr. Allen was a 1966 graduate of The University of Alabama and the 1978
valedictorian of Jones Law School. He was also the Assistant District
Attorney for the 19th Judicial Circuit. He loved motorcycling, the open
road, 1950's rock and roll, football and his companions "Wags" and
"Wiggles".
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the
local Humane Shelter, or a charity of one's choice.

ALLEN, Troy E., also known as "Cookie"., 67, a
Prattville resident, passed away Sunday, December 20,2009. Visitation will
be held this evening (Tuesday) beginning at 5:30 p.m. followed by funeral
services at 7:00 p.m.at Ridout's Prattville Chapel with the Reverend Judge
Glenn Goggins officiating. Mr. Allen was born on September 19, 1942
in Cottondale, Alabama to the late Troy E. (Sr.) and Edna Allen. He was a
U.S. Army veteran ,a 1966 graduate from the University of Alabama and a1978
valedictorian graduate from Jones School of Law. During his law career, he
served as the Assistant D.A. for Alabama's Nineteenth Judicial Circuit and
was also the circuit's Drug Task Force Director. As an avid golfer and
motorcyclist, Troy loved the outdoors, football, animals, classic 1950's
rock n' roll music, and the open road. For him, family and friends always
came first, even Auburn fans. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Allen of
Prattville, a daughter Calee Allen of South Lake Tahoe, Ca., a brother Frank
Allen of Tuscaloosa, mother-in-law, Catherine "Mamamann" Mann of
Alexander City, a special friend Harold Riley of Tuscaloosa ,his two loving
companions "Wags" and "Wiggles", and a host of sisters-in-law,
brothers-in-law, nieces, and nephews. In lieu of flowers memorial
contributions may be made to your local animal shelter or a favorite
charity. For those attending this evening's visitation or funeral service,
